Last week we were lucky enough to have perfect huge wave conditions at Nazaré during our Faith and Heritage Tour. Due to the distinct geography of Nazaré’s underwater canyon, huge waves are created, with some reaching up to 30 metres in height. In recent years Nazaré has become a surfing hotspot, hosting international events attracting the very best surfers from around the globe. In 2018, Brazilian surfer Rodrigo Koxa set the Guinness World Record for the largest wave ever surfed, at a whopping 80 feet.
