Big Wave season at Nazaré

Last week we were lucky enough to have perfect huge wave conditions at Nazaré during our Faith and Heritage Tour. Due to the distinct geography of Nazaré’s underwater canyon, huge waves are created, with some reaching up to 30 metres in height. In recent years Nazaré has become a surfing hotspot, hosting international events attracting the very best surfers from around the globe. In 2018, Brazilian surfer Rodrigo Koxa set the Guinness World Record for the largest wave ever surfed, at a whopping 80 feet.

Sintra with EuroYouth

Last week we were pleased to be joined at Sintra by a group of students from our long standing partnership with EuroYouth.

EuroYouth is an organisation offering support to a number of international projects including work experience and student Erasmus+ programmes and internships. Having worked with them for a number of years it was our pleasure to show some of the current students the magic of Pena Palace, the surrounding gardens and the charming village of Sintra.

We look forward to continuing our work with them in the future!
